Debtors Anonymous UK Intergroup

Dear Fellows,

Thank you to everyone who attended or contributed to the DA UK Intergroup AGM held on 31 January 2026. Below is a summary of the key updates, decisions, and upcoming opportunities from the meeting.

You can view full minutes and reports of this meeting and previous meetings here: Intergroup minutes and reports

Opening & Governance

The meeting opened with the Serenity Prayer, followed by readings of Tradition 7 and the Statement of Purpose.

Previous minutes were approved without changes.

There was discussion around:

  • Intergroup Zoom accounts – future funding beyond December will be reviewed at a later Assembly.
  • Bank mandate access – the current Treasurer and ISR have registered with Metro Bank; we are awaiting action from previous signatories to complete the handover. Frustrations were noted, but progress is ongoing.

Treasurer’s Report – Financial Overview

  • 2025 Tradition 7 total: £7,470.43 (up from £4,483.73 in 2024)
  • Metro Bank balance (31 Dec 2025): £11,046.60

Spending in 2025 came in significantly under budget, with notable underspend in Events, Public Information, and GSO donation categories.

The 2026 DA UK Spending Plan was presented, discussed, amended, and approved. Changes included removing the 5% contingency and reallocating funds to Events and Public Information.

Actions confirmed:

  • Clarification of how the prudent reserve and GSO donation are calculated.
  • Intention to explore income forecasting for future years.
