IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE?
Unfortunately, the building does not have
step-free access. However, please contact us, using the email below, to discuss your specific needs.
IS THERE A COST?
There is a suggested, voluntary donation of £30. This is to cover the cost of the space and will enable the event to be ‘self-supporting’.
All committee members/organisers perform service voluntarily, in line with our group traditions. Payment should be made to the group PayPal, details for which can be requested via email.
CAN I COME FOR JUST ONE DAY?
Yes! There is no time commitment. Dip in and out as you like.
WHO IS IN CHARGE?
In line with our traditions, no one person is in charge – we have created a committee which is volunteer based and non-hierarchical.
I AM NOT LOCAL, WHERE CAN I STAY?
The Union Hotel has kindly offered us a discounted rate of £100pppm (single room), £110ppp (double room) if booked directly before April (please email or telephone the hotel). Alternatively, there are many other hotels, B&B’s, AirBNB’s etc, in the immediate vicinity.
AM NEW TO DA, CAN I COME?
Yes! Everyone is welcome to the workshop. All we ask is that you respect the anonymity of each individual, in line with DA’s Steps & Traditions.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
Nothing at all!
I CAN’T ATTEND ON THIS DATE, WILL THERE BE OTHER EVENTS LIKE THIS?
DA groups frequently arrange workshops and conventions. The Penzance group hopes that this will be an annual event – so we may see you next year!
