Christmas Day meeting taking place in EC2

The Tuesday morning meeting at St Vedast (next to St Pauls Cathedral) will run as usual on Christmas Day, but at a slightly later time from 08.00 until 09.00am. See here.

This allows people to gather before starting their Christmas Day. It also offers a meeting space at what can be a stressful and possibly triggering time of year in many ways, financial and emotional.

As there is no public transport on Christmas Day, Stuart will act as a point of contact for those who would like to come who do not have their own transport. If anyone is able to offer lifts please let him know. For clarity, they cannot guarantee availability of transport for you but will help co-ordinate journeys where it is possible. Please email stuartdoes12steps@gmail.com

DA UK website notifications of new posts trial

Intergroup asked if it was possible for people to be notified of new posts on the DA UK website. As a trial I have set up a notification system that current goes to the Intergroup email list. Posts are not too frequent, so I hope this is helpful rather than annoying.

I would request that you trial this during January, and comment at the AGM, or send in comments for the AGM either to the chair (igchair AT debtorsanonymous.org.uk) or the webmaster (webmaster AT debtorsanonymous.org.uk).

If we come to Debtors Anonymous with unsecured debt we often feel in chaos and fear around it. It does not matter how much we owe, it is the impact on our lives that is often destructive and damaging.

In this workshop will look at how we chose to communicate with our creditors, the calculation of our repayment schedule and the pace at which we reduce our debt.

We will use handouts and DA literature as well as share our experience strength and hope. In the spirit of our recovery we will affirm our commitment to making amends whilst never neglecting our own self care and needs.
